Looks like the weather will be pretty decent for this race too. Sunday's high will be in the upper 40's. So hopefully it won't be to cold at 9am. Jazzy and Kaitlyn are doing the kids run at 8:45a. I hope to get 2 runs in this week before the race. Haven't ran since last Thurs. when I did 2.5 miles could have easily did the 3.1 miles, but I kept thinking about Bob Evans....on the way past Bob's I decided I didn't want to waste the calories I just burned and decided to eat oatmeal instead!!!

Good job keeping up with the running Amber & Vicki and good luck at the race on Sunday!! How are the rest of you doing? The weather's been tough, so use the treadmill or elliptical if you miss some outside runs!! Check out Runnersworld.com - there are some good articles from this month's magazine and some info on cold weather gear!!

Well, I finished the snowflake 5K this morning. It was a very difficult race. I had problems pacing myself, I started out way to quickly and got tired fast. It seems like I never really recovered from this. I now know not to start to close to the front because by doing this I was trying to keep up with everyone else's pace which is where the problem started. I finished 41:28 with a 13:16 pace which is good for me but it was difficult.

I did meet a goal that I set during the race, I finished before the lady pushing the double jogging stroller.

Hi Vickie - congratulations for finishing!! It can be very challenging to start in the front of the pack because you can easily get caught up with the other runners and go out way too fast - I've done it before and it makes the rest of the race very hard. You end up learning somthing new each race.

Amber - how did you do?
